Even through this tough period, Novis prospered and was the favorite shop for the community who were not willing to compromise on quality.
Novis found the opportunity to expand business after the new policy of free investment and started importing food and beverages. Novis was one of the first real supermarkets in Addis Ababa.
Novis opened the very first food and beverage wholesale in Addis Ababa and served the entire city with consistency and excellent quality. Even though many supermarkets were opened throughout the years, no one was able to compete with the quality. If you visit any supermarket in town you can find goods imported by Novis on their shelves.
Novis opened a jewelry and home décor shop in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel that also has locally manufactured art crafts ranging from scarves to pottery to necklaces and coffee.
In this year, Novis ventured in a completely different sector and bough The Express Travel Group (www.expresstravelgroup.com). Express Travel is proud to serve big companies such as Coca Cola, and The British Council and organizes tours in Ethiopia and leisure or business travel all around the world!
In an effort to provide even high quality to its clients, Novis bought a farm conveniently located in Debre Zeit. There cows are grass fed and fattened to serve our clients, both retail and wholes sale, with the softest meat you can buy in Addis Ababa!
